Dairy Health:
Bovine Mastitis Solutions

Staph aureus a global mastitis menace

Mastitis is one of the leading causes of infection in the udders of dairy cows, significantly affecting milk production and animal welfare and costing dairy farmers across the globe upwards of $22 billion in economic losses annually.

Pentamer pioneers novel vaccine development for mastitis in dairy cows. We target Staphylococcus aureus, a notoriously difficult bug.

S. aureus is one of the primary agents of both clinical and subclinical mastitis.

There is currently no licensed vaccine to prevent S. aureus mastitis.
